About the Role
This role offers a wide range of responsibilities and direct involvement in the firm’s growth. Working closely with partners and lawyers, the Business Development Officer will help shape how Lexpertise presents itself, connects with clients, and develops new business and practice opportunities.
The role combines marketing, communications, digital content, events, legal directory submissions, proposals, market research, and client development. The successful candidate will manage both day-to-day marketing activities and longer-term initiatives, with opportunities to take ownership of projects, contribute new ideas, and support the firm’s continued growth in established and emerging areas of practice.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the firm’s corporate identity and support the professional profiles and personal branding of its lawyers.
Coordinate branded materials and promotional items, including working with external suppliers.
Manage legal directory, ranking, and award submissions, including matter descriptions, supporting materials, and deadlines.
Prepare, review, and update the firm’s brochures, credentials, presentations, lawyer profiles, practice descriptions, and other marketing materials.
Manage the firm’s website, social media channels, content calendar, and routine communications.
Manage articles prepared by the firm’s lawyers, including editing, proofreading, obtaining approval, and coordinating publication on the firm’s website or through external publishers.
Plan and coordinate seminars, webinars, and other firm events from preparation through post-event follow-up.
Identify and arrange lawyers’ participation in relevant conferences, networking events, publications, and speaking opportunities.
Prepare and revise proposals, pitches, capability statements, fee presentations, and responses to requests for proposals.
Research prospective clients, industries, competitors, emerging legal issues, and potential new practice and business opportunities.
Communicate with prospective clients and external contacts, conduct preliminary assessments of opportunities, and present findings to the partners.
Maintain organised records of contacts, proposals, events, submissions, and marketing activities.
Work closely with partners, lawyers, and other departments on marketing and practice-development initiatives and other assignments as required.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field.
Excellent written and spoken English, with strong drafting, editing, and proofreading skills.
Good written and spoken Thai.
Strong organisation, communication, and project-management skills.
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with websites and social media.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at a law firm or professional-services organisation is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with legal directory submissions, graphic-design tools (Canva), content-management systems, or digital analytics would be an advantage.
New graduates with excellent English skills and a positive attitude are welcome to apply.
