Nandana Indananda is a well-respected legal professional with a wealth of experience in the field. With over 12 years of service as a judge at the Central Tax Court, the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court, and the Supreme Court of Thailand, Nandana brings a unique perspective to his role as founder and managing partner of Lexpertise Law Firm. Prior to establishing the firm, he was a partner at a regional law firm in Bangkok, where he was responsible for heading up its IP-Tech and litigation practices.

Nandana holds several advanced degrees in law from Stockholm University, University of Leicester, and the University of Hong Kong. He is also a Barrister-at-Law of the Thai Bar Association, where he currently serves as a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee. Nandana is an active arbitrator at prominent arbitration institutes, including the Thai Arbitration Institute (TAI) and Thailand Arbitration Center (THAC). He continues to engage in extensive legal research and regularly contributes to authoritative legal journals.   • Represented a leading telecommunications company in disputes over concession contracts with state telecoms companies worth over USD 3 billion, both at arbitration institutes and administrative courts.

  • Assisted an international organization in copyright infringement cases related to the 2018 World Cup Finals, before the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court and the Administrative Court.

  • Successfully defended a lawsuit with a claimed amount of over USD 5 million against a leading e-marketplace company in China, regarding the sale of allegedly illegal products on its platform.

  • Secured a preliminary injunction from the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court to stop a major telecommunications company from broadcasting the signals of the 2022 World Cup Final to the public.

  • Representation in a patent infringement case that was widely regarded as the largest and most complex in Thai history. Successfully obtained a favorable settlement for his client just prior to the rendering of judgment, securing a rare Anton Piller order to seize infringing goods and proving infringement.

  • Winning a historic judgment for a global technology leader in a trade secret misappropriation case. This was the first successful enforcement of trade secret rights in Thailand and resulted in an injunction against the misappropriation of technology, as well as substantial damages and recovery of legal fees for the client.

  • Providing legal counsel to a major pharmaceutical company, including verifying marketing compliance with complex regulations and mitigating risk and loss.

  • Represented a multinational pharmaceutical company in patent infringement litigation against a local generic company. Nandana effectively managed the case and successfully protected the validity of the client’s patent.
